Frequently Asked Questions
We realise a lot of companies either have their own stock of hardware or cannot obtain LightAct hardware for various reasons.
That’s why we are growing a list of hardware manufacturers whose hardware solutions we’ve tested in our office and certified they are capable of running LightAct.
We call these hardware solutions that are not manufactured by us, Certified Hardware.
The certification is done in our office. The procedure is the same for every server and is as follows:
- We check the component list and ensure it is of sufficient quality.
- We make sure all the drivers and prerequisites are installed correctly.
- We go through the entire Testing process as described on these pages.
- We also check the build quality both on the inside and the outside of the server.
- We ship the server back to the manufacturer so that they can create a disk image for later use.
It means that if you are unable to obtain LightAct hardware, you can get (or specify) one of the Certified Hardware platforms and know that LightAct is going to run on it perfectly.
