Lightact v3.1.4 is the last release before we launch Lightact v3.2.0 at Prolight and Sound 2019. Yet, it includes a number of upgrades that we think you’ll love.

VR previews

Due to popular request, we’ve re-introduced VR previews. This means you can hook up your Oculus Rift or HTC Vive and move around your scene in virtual reality using VR controllers.

At the moment this is an experimental feature which has several additional upgrades scheduled. One of those is an ability to preview interactive installations as if you were really there and so on.

Massive Performance Increase

We dug deep into Lightact code and made some significant performance upgrades. The most notable improvements are in HAP video playback and Art-Net mapping. We’ll post more detailed benchmarks in the following weeks.

Beacon-less Object Tracking

We’ve made big improvements in Lightact’s beacon-less object tracking. Nodes that we’ve added allow you to use stereo vision to track objects. Then, you can pass the object’s properties to Unreal Engine for real-time graphics.

Multiple Network Interfaces

Lightact now allows you to choose which network interface card you want to use.

If your PC has multiple network ports (Lightact Pro servers have 4, for example), you can distribute your network devices across them to increase performance.[/vc_column_text][mk_padding_divider][mk_button corner_style=”full_rounded” size=”xlarge” bg_color=”#161619″ txt_color=”#f2f2f2″ url=”/lightact-changelog/” align=”center”]Check out the Changelog[/mk_button][mk_padding_divider][/vc_column][/vc_row]
